Welcome to my website!

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at McGill University. I will be entering the job market in the 2025–2026 academic year. My research interests lie at the intersection of development economics, political economy, and labor economics. You can find my CV here.

My research examines how institutional arrangements—such as bureaucratic incentives, target-based governance, and fiscal mechanisms—shape economic behavior. I am particularly interested in how state-led policies interact with market forces through implementation systems, performance evaluation, and local state capacity. I also conduct empirical evaluations of government policies, particularly those implemented in coordination with local actors. Broadly, my work seeks to understand how institutions structure the interaction between state and market, especially in settings where administrative incentives influence resource allocation and development outcomes.
